Lead Concrete Finisher

The Concrete Lead oversees a crew of workers performing concrete-related tasks such

as forming, pouring, finishing, and curing. This role combines hands-on work with

leadership, ensuring projects meet specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a crew of concrete workers on job sites

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications

  • Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to team members

  • Set forms, pour, level, and finish concrete surfaces

  • Monitor concrete quality, consistency, and curing processes

  • Operate tools and equipment (screeds, floats, trowels, saws, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades

  • Train and mentor less experienced workers

  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in concrete construction (typically 3–5+ years)

  • Strong knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans

  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions

  • Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., OSHA guidelines)

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specialized finishes (stamped, polished, decorative concrete)

  • Equipment operation certifications

  • Valid driver’s license

Pay Range

  • ~$25–$30 per hour DOE
