Lead Concrete Finisher
The Concrete Lead oversees a crew of workers performing concrete-related tasks such
as forming, pouring, finishing, and curing. This role combines hands-on work with
leadership, ensuring projects meet specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a crew of concrete workers on job sites
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to team members
Set forms, pour, level, and finish concrete surfaces
Monitor concrete quality, consistency, and curing processes
Operate tools and equipment (screeds, floats, trowels, saws, etc.)
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades
Train and mentor less experienced workers
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in concrete construction (typically 3–5+ years)
Strong knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., OSHA guidelines)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with specialized finishes (stamped, polished, decorative concrete)
Equipment operation certifications
Valid driver’s license
Pay Range
~$25–$30 per hour DOE
